Mantras of the distant planets (Tsemra Igly)

In Jyotish, mantras are often used in upayas to planets. Mantras help to concentrate better, tune in to the planetary slice, and in general are quite a convenient way to address the planets, especially for beginners. But the catch is that there are no classical mantras for distant planets. All nowadays known mantras to grahas were composed by ancient Sanskrit speakers in times when people knew nothing about the distant planets, for obvious reasons. Purely technically they could not discover Uranus, Neptune and moreover Pluto, as well as include them in the calculation of natal charts. And consequently, people could not clearly designate the grahas of the distant planets in their religion, astrological science and ascribe them a mantra.

Nevertheless, the subtle mentors of the first astrologers, as well as incarnation astrologers, were aware of the existence of these grahas. And somehow, the geniuses of the planets made their way into the list of ingredients for sculpting different mythological creatures. According to some hypotheses, the graha of Neptune may have seeped into Varuna, and graha of Uranus into Agni. Therefore, one supposedly working method could be the use of mantras to these deities.

The other approach is my personal novelty, inspired by already existing mantras. I have noticed that if the grahas have adjacent elemental slices, their mantras have identical syllables in their composition. A clear example is the mantras of Ketu (Om Shram Shreem Shrum Sah Ketave Namah) and Chandra (Om Shram Shreem Shrum Sah Chandraya Namah). Thus we have the following mantras:

Uranus

1 Om Hram Hrim Hrim Hrum Sah Agnaye Namah.
2 Om Bram Bream Broom Broom Sah Agnaye Namah.

Neptune

1 Om Shram Shreem Shrim Shrum Sah Varunaye Namah.
2 Om Drum Dreem Drum Sah Varunaye Namah.

Pluto

1 Om Kram Krim Krum Krum Sah Domahaye Namah.
2 Om Pram Preem Prum Prum Sah Domahaye Namah.

P.S. If you don’t like the names, you can try replacing them with the names of planets in the Western system. It shouldn’t change the main point.
