The element of Life and where do people come from

Hey there. You know, I’m very fond of highlighting sex-related topics. It’s not that i suffer (suffer?) from excessive erotomania or am extremely invested in the topic, no. The thing is there is a base set of core principles which constitute your daily conceptual apparatus. These principles may be applied to basically everything.
For example, you can not understand arithmetics if you don’t understand logic, and, consequently, you have very little chance of advancing further into math, physics and even philosophy. It appears that some people truly believe that learning things is easy – just dive into the first thing you see, and other parts will soon fall into place. They grab onto the first rule, technique or book chapter and start wandering through sciences chaotically. This results in misalignment of the knowledge base, stirred and distorted knowledge.

It’s even worse in those topics which are considered to be well-known and obvious. “Everybody knows that!”. And, since everybody does, it’s clear as day. But are you really sure that what “everybody” knows is adequate and actually corresponds with reality? Those “obvious”, undebatable “truths”?

“Mother, how was I born? How did I come to be?” A simple question, and the answer also seems to be pretty obvious. But what if we scale the picture up a bit? How did people come to be and what differs them from other beings? Some may say that people were created by gods. Others would say that people evolved to be who they are. Both parties would be partially right, but it’s the approach that’s wrong. If you dig into something, first choose where to start from. And what I suggest to you is the complete story of human origin. Wanna hear it?

Okay, I’ll tell you today. Let’s first look into what “everybody” knows. And I am ready to bet anything on the fact that what they know is absolutely different from what I’m about to tell you.

And my story starts with… food.

The world as we know it emerged a very long time ago. It is subtle and intangible for 95%, it’s life living in huge cycles. Now let’s move from something large, subjective and amorphous to something tiny, objective and perceivable. First beings in our universe had no specifics whatsoever – they were huge pieces of space, not knowing any form and combining all elements at once. And they all were worlds to themselves – the space, the food, the entertainment – all within oneself. But as time went by, our universe gravitated towards obtaining some form and thus creating objective things – things, accessible to everyone.

It is now difficult to imagine how the world looked like before the Archipelago age. It had no things, no sounds, no food, no water – nothing. Everything was part of the being, which effectively constituted the world. And everything outside of it was just another eyed piece of living space.

And the first step of such spaces’ evolution was the emergence of something we now know as “objective world”, which also may be called “balanced worlds” as we label it on our side. The number of specific features of the world like sounds, sсents, words and concepts, grew. And living beings started to evolve respectively. Well, you need hands and feet to touch something or to be able to walk. And you need a mouth to be able to consume something. So, living beings in their latter forms became more dense and solid. They are also divided into different races because of the fact that being a collection of all elements doesn’t fit well with material objects.

The element of Life is the last element which appeared in the aforementioned age. And the reason for it to appear is pretty simple: food, which was invented around the same time, turned out to be very enjoyable. By the way, it is important to differentiate between “the element of Life” and “to be alive”. English, along with some other languages, puts these words pretty close to one another in terms of sense, but they are different conceptually. Demons do not contain any element of Life, yet they are alive, breathing, eating and sleeping all right.

Element of Life is an offshoot of the element of Time, its cyclical part viewed as a separate element, to be exact. Everything in the world lives according to some sort of cycle, and everything has it’s own cycle. Demons and other higher beings follow cycles which have no exact consistency. Their appearance does not depend on their age, it changes accordingly to the environment, experience, mood etc. Element of life, on the other side, is a fixed order of cycles, is inevitable and inescapable.

The first beings to receive the element of Life were plants. Plants were created around the same time as concepts of taste and eating something. For subtle creatures food is nothing but entertainment, but definitely not a need. This is a stark difference between subtle creatures and humans. But neither of the two are willing to give up a bottle of fine wine with some cheese and fruit! 🙂 It’s pleasant, a way to entertain oneself and connect with others.

But how can you eat something if there’s nothing edible yet?

And this is how the element of Life emerged: an element used to power short-cycled life meant for food. Trees and crops all follow one and only cycle: growing leaves, blooming, bearing fruit, shrinking for the inter – and so on and so forth. A tree has no chance of bearing fruit first and blooming second and that’s the only way of existing. Should a tree break this cycle, it might as well enter university, get a law degree and take over the country. But nobody needs that. Beings meant for food are to be dumb, amorphous and short-lived. That’s the way they are engineered to be.

Inferns, chaosits, elims, voiders – all those races are just trees who lost their minds completely. Coniferous trees, unlike others, may alter their cycles according to the circumstances, weather etc. Just like demons – they live by their inner cycles, constantly developing and changing, getting older and than younger again, completely unattached to age and experience. This is an example of non-cyclical existence. Some higher beings simply do not contain Life element, so there’s no force limiting them down to any cycle.

Folks wanted to experience new tastes and at some point they discovered meat. Who was the first one to eat another being still remains unknown, but they realised that it is: 1) delicious and 2) raises ethical and safety concerns. They wanted to eat meat and thus needed to eat somebody, but all creatures existing back there were also dangerous and non-cyclical tough cookies who were more than able to fight back. And, on top of it all, eating something as smart and as ancient seemed very immoral.

That’s how animals came to be.

Our world was literally created by bioengineers and mathematicians, and it’s hard to say who had contributed more to it… People later DISCOVERED those sciences (not all of them yet), definitely did not invent them. So, what bio-math squad created were animals, creatures based on the element of Life. The idea behind that was simple and brilliant. Life has short cycles, meaning that the creature based on it won’t be pretending to evolve into something intelligent. It’s pretty hard to overcome your limits having only 5 to 10 years of lifespan at your disposal. So, such creatures may be consumed without a second thought. It is tough to imagine a cow living for 3000 years, get a philosophy degree, finish the same university that the oak did, getting eaten in the end. It was designed to live a short life and be consumed in the end.

That was the start of the production of endless numbers of cows, chickens and so on. In case some animals were not eaten, they were bound to die in a year or two anyway, meaning they were not posing any threat in the future. No ethical issues here either, because animals were rather primitive beings. Dogs and other predators were created further on by the same engineers in order to slow down the rapid growth of fodder creatures. That’s when additional ethical problems emerged, because dogs are cute and with time you grow quite fond of such wonderful creature, but the dog’s lifespan is still immeasurably shorter than yours, and it’s all pretty sad in the end.

Element of Life and physical meat-shell are closely bound together. The older a creature is, the harder it is for it to eat something, especially meat. Those who are relatively young can digest literally anything, and those born eons ago are all, without exceptions, vegetarians. Elder creatures don’t have the physical ability to eat meat without being hit hard in the guts with heavy intoxication (I am no exception, unfortunately). Some don’t even use their mouth to eat. You may be a very powerful creature, but still have a weak digestive tract.

The element of Life kept steadily evolving and exists nowadays. Not as a sub-element of Time, but as something stand-alone and more comprehensive. It now powers millions of species, plants, animals, birds, fish… Something is a result of evolution, something was thrown in by the original creator team. The element of Life is one thing uniting all the species, also limiting them to a short lifespan at the same time. Breaking the limitation is nearly impossible. Elves, spirits of nature and partly dalrams seem to be an exception, but they are not. They use the Element of Life to exist, but their “engines” rely on different energies. Elven races, for example, are “powered” by Wood, Air and Water elements, and only use Life to support their bodies. They are a bit more cyclical than other races, but live a lot longer than a hundred years for sure.

But well, what about humans? Okay, I’ll tell you.

If we step back and look at the origin of creatures, we may remember that there were only 4 types originally. The type humans are used to seeing in the mirror is the most widespread and is called amadakh. It only has two sexes. Or beings, containing both sexes in one. So, in case you meet some infernal creature sometime in the future, you won’t see anything physiologically astonishing.

When our former headgod, Yahweh, took over as the leader of the Tree, he was rather fixated on the idea of creating a new form of life. The “age of discoveries” was long gone and over, with all rational and viable variants carefully browsed through. So Yahweh knew no better but to create adamakhs based on the element of life. Nobody has ever done this before – not because one couldn’t, but because it was cruel and unethical. A form of life which is actually able to evolve into something more mighty and powerful trapped in a short-living fragile body. It is like creating a cutting-edge top-spec race car with a 300ml. gas tank. Faster than anyone for about 10 minutes – but what’s the point? The second race he created were angels. They were also amadakhs based on a combination of Light and Fire. Same question here – what for? Adding a few more species to the pile is as useful as having a doorknob on your butt.

Neither of the two species were in any way groundbreaking. The idea itself was not new, was tried out before and dismissed as unpromising. Morale is something subtle creatures are well aware of, so the whole idea did not seem appealing at all. Such a creature is doomed to live a bit, gain some experience, start to make some sense about this life.. and that’si it, it’s time to die. To be gone for good in dense worlds or to fall asleep in a subtle world – with high chance of never waking up again. Simply because of the fact that your form of existence is ill-established, synthetic. Add to that the amount of those used as material during the initial experiments – an amount undetermined, but probably pretty huge. But Yahweh wanted to be remembered as creator – so he became one.

The “human issue” is well known in the subtle world. Humans are pitied, and sometimes receive help. But the moral dilemma is stunningly big and nobody knows a way to help an entire race. Should it be reformed? Annihilated? Transferred to the subtle world? On one side, humans are just like us subtle creatures – they’re smart, they crave knowledge and development… For example, they invented languages. Subtle world has like 2 languages and 4 dialects total – easy, isn’t it. Everybody knows that (ha-ha). And the complex system of hundreds of languages forming complex linguistic systems is only typical to humans. Coffee, baths, most musical instruments, movies, vast amounts of books and musical records… Humans are definitely not some cattle, it’s an entire kind of creatures with their own culture and history. But on a bigger scale, this kind has no potential for development. What do we do with them? If you ask me – I don’t know. What complicates the matter further is the fact that humans themselves are not exactly keen on learning about who they really are and what to do with it. Even if there was a trusted way of changing the body matrix – a thing rare, but not unprecedented, – humans are not gathering in line to attempt it.

Mistrust and unwillingness to change is a feature typical to creatures powered by the element of Life. Changes are something new to them, and something new means a change new step within the cycle. And the number of steps is pretty limited, so fear of change is basically instinctive. Because changes harbinger death.
