Answer without thinking: What question is hanging in the air more than any other right now?

Why has everything suddenly become so bad?!

Somewhere around 2019 and onwards, this question has been plaguing the entire world, overwhelming analysts from economists to astrologers with reflections and sleepless nights. Does it also seem to you as if the world is collapsing, darkening, the familiar guides are floating away on the waves, and the quality of everything is decreasing, falling to the bottom, picking up a shovel, and starting to dig downwards? Have you noticed this effect? Somewhere around the beginning of Covid, something made a loud CRUNCH, and the familiar world began its collapse, leaving only fear, burnout, and puzzles. And subsequent events only worsen this hurricane, even reaching the threat of nuclear war and the demolition of all living things. It’s scary when the novels of Huxley and Orwell suddenly turn into a documentary film outside the window. It’s even scarier when the reasons and timing of this transformation are unclear even approximately.

Guess why is this happening? It’s a very interesting topic, actually, combining Chinese metaphysics, mathematics, and even mundane astrology: large life cycles and eras in which the elements of Time and its relatives are aligned. Let’s figure out today when global changes occur and what to expect from the world next.

There is an old Chinese curse – “May you live in an Era of Change”. Personally, it seemed funny to me until this Era came upon us all and started crushing us. The Chinese clearly cursed with knowledge of the matter, because living and making plans when Life itself is breaking is a huge challenge. Some manage to profit from this and manage to stake out something new, but most simply drown and perish in such periods

The whole world has simply gone mad. Today, we’ll discuss how often these Eras occur, what to do with them, and why they exist at all. And as a bonus, we’ll test the Astromancy system and create a forecast for the rest of the current era and the beginning of the coming one. Let’s go!

Metaphysical Cycles in Ba Zi

Almost everyone has heard something about the Chinese New Year and that each year is the year of some strange animal: the Wood Goat, the Earth Horse, the Metal Dog, and so on. But not everyone knows what these names mean in practice and how do these signs really affect the events around us. All of this is a small pop-culture piece of the Chinese astrological system that has seeped into mass culture. In reality, it’s a much more useful and complex system than you might realize.

At the heart of Chinese metaphysics, particularly Ba Zi, lies the idea that the world consists of elements and periods of time that are broken down into cycles of 12 parts. 12 elements, 12 signs, 12 seasons, years, and so on. At the same time, each small cycle is a season for a larger cycle working for the entire Tree of Life. It’s summer on your continent, but it’s spring on the Tree, for example.

The year in the Chinese system is divided into 5 seasons, in each of which one element dominates in space, and there is a lot of it:

— Spring is the season of the Wood element (Jupiter)
— Summer is the season of Fire (Mars/Sun)
— Autumn is the season of Metal/Air (Venus)
— Winter is the season of Water (Mercury)
— and in the seasonal transition, Earth is active (Saturn).

Accordingly, each season brings certain changes, influxes of energy, and problems. The Qi energy (gasoline) moves in a circle, it has 12 phases from the weakest to the strongest and back. These 12 phases move endlessly in a circle of seasons – the year consists of 12 segments, and every 12 years the entire “wheel” globally changes. At the end of the cycle, the wheel is reset and the movement starts again from the “zero” mark. Changes and new things in the life of the planet appear in the Tiger and then are consolidating within 12 years. That is, in the year of the Tiger and the year of the Rabbit, we “sow” the seeds of new beginnings and finish breaking down the old, in the year of the Dragon they fall into the ground and begin to grow. And then until the end of the cycle, we “reap the harvest.”

Each of these cycles and seasons corresponds to certain combinations of elements in space, and Ba Zi considers 5 such elements in total – Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, and Metal/Air, each of which is divided into Yin and Yang polarity. The Chinese symbolically designated their combinations in the seasons with the names of animals, whose habits describe the “behavior” of the elements. So, for example, the Metal Snake is a combination of Fire and Metal in Yin polarity, and the Earth Monkey is Earth and Metal in Yang polarity. These elements dominate in space during the corresponding period and set the tone for all the events that occur during this period. For example, fire will heat up and sharpen situations, and earth will fix the results and bury what has sung its song.

This is a simple system; you can imagine it as windows in a slot machine: each cycle scrolls the picture in its window, and their combination sets the elemental basis for all things.

In total, Ba Zi considers 4 types of cycles:

First – the Two-Hour period. Second – the Day. Third – the Month. Fourth – the Year.

We see them in the natal chart and in forecasts for months and years. These cycles do not change each other sharply, but gradually. In the last season of each cycle, the concentrations of the elements of the subsequent cycle begin to grow in the world, and in the first season of the next cycle, the content of the elements of the previous cycle smoothly decreases. Both these seasons of change are a time of instability. They are similar to the gradual change in temperature or pH of pond water in which fish live. And they affect us in a similar way: fish adapt to them with varying degrees of success. Moreover, if the change is not only sharp, but also large, then some do not adapt at all and massively float belly up. That is why January and especially February are so rich in deaths of elderly and sick people – this is a significant, although not the largest, Era of Change. And they do not have enough strength to endure it, and at the junction of large cycles, there is a minimum of energy in space. In short, the highway begins to make sharp turns, the tank is empty, and there are no gas stations on the way until “March”.

Playing for High Stakes

The cycles from Ba Zi describe well the life of humans who live a measly 50-70 years. The world is a huge, multidimensional, and complex thing; its cycles cannot be described by a two-hour sign. And even the annual “slot machine windows” will be too small to describe the fancy era in which we all live. To describe it, we need larger time periods and seasons, which are operated not by Ba Zi, but by Astromancy.

It includes 9 types of periods:

First – the Two-Hour period.

Second – the Day.

Third – the Month.

Fourth – the Year.

Fifth – the Dodecade, 12 years.

Sixth – the Epoch. 12 Dodecades. 144 years approximately.

Seventh – the Era. 12 Epochs. About 1700 years.

Eighth – the Aeon. 12 Eras. A little over 20,700 years.

Ninth – the Archean. 12 Aeons. Almost 250,000 years.

And each of these cycles also has a season and a sign, that is, it’s summer on the continent, it’s spring on the Tree, on all the Trees it’s the season of the Rat, and the common window for all worlds shows the seasonal transition.

As we can see from this list, the year of the Ox and the year of the Tiger are analogous to January and February for the Dodecade. These are years with zero Qi replenishment, which is why they are marked by upheavals and unexpected events, epidemics, military conflicts, shocking incidents, and transformative turning points for the whole world at once. January at the end of the year of the Ox and February at the beginning of the cycle of the Tiger are trash squared; if the Decades of the same animals overtake us at the same time, then it’s trash cubed. And if Epochs of the same sign are also superimposed, then the madness takes on the scope you are familiar with: several initial phases have converged in our slot machine at once. If one sign of change comes, then the gasoline is drained in one sector; it can be survived. But what if three or four come at once?…

The old leaves not in a year, but in hundreds or even thousands of years.

This time of completion of one Epoch and the beginning of another is called the Era of Change. A prolonged period of shaking and instability when everything familiar collapses and falls into the abyss because a 13th Element briefly arises in the list of elements, which drains everything into oblivion.

And at the same time, previously unseen things emerge from it.

And I/we are suspended in the middle of a jump from one edge of the abyss to the other, and we don’t know if we’ll make it. And if we make it, at what price and where will we end up? It is impossible to plan for the long term, it is impossible to predict what will happen in a second; you can only relax and float. But there are also larger Eras of Change, at the junctions of neighboring Aeons, for example. And this “funhouse” is much bigger and “more fun.” As I understand it, it was experienced somewhere in the era of the fall of the Roman Empire, and we are now experiencing the resetting of those changes that came then.

Forecast

According to our calculations, we are currently living in the Epoch of the Water Ox. Moreover, at its very end, in the Dodecade with the same sign, which began in 2022. Then the 12-year period of the Wood Tiger will come to us, which will begin an Epoch of the same sign. And therefore – a new Aeon, the sign of which is still unknown to us.

The Dodecade and Epoch of the Water Ox are a global January and a metaphysical winter, the season of Water and Yin Earth. A time when Saturn, Mercury, and Neptune rule the roost (which is what we observe).

The last two planets commanded the parade undivided in the previous Dodecade of the Water Rat from 2010 to 2021. Mercury is a planet associated with information technology, communications, the development of information transmission, and the acceleration of these processes. However, it is also a planet of shallowness and many small things, which can lead to noise without even a semblance of deep meaning. This is the effect when all the news is in “!!!” format, but in reality, not a single event can be described properly. What’s it?… Did he speak for a long time? He did. What did he say? Nothing.

A vivid child of the previous period is the chimera called TikTok and the similar social networks. Many short, loud videos, with no weighty content, but causing a fleeting release of dopamine. You watched it and immediately forgot about it, switching to the next one; this is typical Mercury.

The same disaster is happening with art, especially music: it is deprived of a solid, craft-based foundation and deep beauty, turning into fast “popcorn” on the go. Have you noticed how melodies and deep meaning have disappeared from music in recent decades? It’s all improvisation to some rhythms, but not a single piece can even be hummed, it’s so wretched. Just like the visual arts, in which they no longer draw, but slap paint on the canvas, making up the meaning and philosophy of these poops on the go.

The Greeks and other ancient civilizations experienced the same thing in the era of their decline. This is a very disturbing thought.

Neptune, on the other hand, is a much larger planet; it is the Graha of the sea abyss. It is responsible for the emergence of something new and unusual, is associated with technical innovations, global changes, and the complete disappearance of other phenomena. The most striking example of its influence can be called the boom in neural networks, which have become sharply popular and technologically advanced in the last 12-15 years.

Both these planets will be with us until the end of the current Dodecade. This means that until 2034, we can expect the same trends, but to a lesser extent, since the amount of water in space has decreased since 2022, and it has changed its polarity to Yin. That is, there will be more hype from Mercury than innovations from Neptune. But at the same time, this Water gives way to the Earth that controls it. This means we can expect this hype to calm down and to be rethought in the coming years.

It is also alarming that the Ox and Saturn bring the summing up and the dying off of everything old and unnecessary, stiff. The Ox tears up the earth with its hooves, gores the earth clods, causing the ground to tremble and slip from beneath one’s feet, and revealing what was hidden within. And someone will find a treasure in the excavated earth, and someone will find their grave.

This is a period when hidden deeds, the true faces of people and political regimes come to the surface, and the former frameworks and foundations collapse. Because of which everyone who is ultimately destined to collapse goes crazy and becomes brutal with doubled force. Because now the world itself opposes them, and time is working against them. And they are striving in agony to turn it back and make “everything as before”, when they were young and all-powerful masters of their era. This is especially true of large structures and phenomena, people in high positions, and institutions. After all, the Dodecade is already their scale. The 12-year period of the Ox is a very difficult time. A period when the old order is already considered dead, and the new one is only trying to be born. And the Ox pulls the plow, preparing the ground for new seeds and young growth.

2027, 2032, and 2033 will be particularly important during this period.

2027 is the year of the Fire Goat. A period that completely clashes with the Water Ox and gives the greatest tension and instability. This combination is like an earthquake with an underwater volcanic eruption – the ground slips from under your feet, and a mass of boiling water swirls around. A period of the greatest probability of sharp changes and turning points in event lines. A year in which new sharp and large conflicts may arise or frozen ones may resume.

2032 is the year of the Water Rat, which forms a fusion with the Ox into Earth. And 2033 is another year of the Water Ox. These two years will be a particularly strong concentration of Water and Earth, which will highly likely make them similar to the concentration of the entire Dodecade, especially 2033.

It should also be noted that both the Epoch and the Dodecade of the Water Ox are a metaphysical January lasting for years, the end of a metaphysical winter, followed by an elemental spring. This means that further warming of everything is awaiting us.

The Epoch and Dodecade of the Wood Tiger, like a global spring, will come to us in February 2034 and sharply change the elemental composition of space. It will be full of Yang Wood. The Tiger is a sign of new beginnings, which pulls the new into the world with even greater force and destroys the old. This is the very force and impulse with which sprouts break through the shell of their seeds, through the earth, and even asphalt. This is pressure, zeal, and innovation to the extreme. If conservatives go crazy from losses and agony in the Ox, then marginals and progressives who have lost any restraints and boundaries escape from the ward in the Tiger. Only a lack of energy can restrain them. And since the Wood Tiger is, in fact, a Tiger squared, then the Epoch and Dodecade ahead of us will be specific. Wood is Jupiter, a planet that legitimizes innovations in the civil spectrum of reality, making marginal and little-known currents and ideas large-scale and generally accepted. So the world may change beyond recognition.

At the same time, the risk of any conflicts, alas, does not disappear. Because with so much element of wood around, a small spark is enough to cause a full-scale forest fire. Plus, this is a period when the combination of fiery punishment from the signs of the Snake-Monkey-Tiger will work on a larger scale than before.

In the coming Dodecade, 2034, 2037, 2040, and 2043 will be of particular importance.

2034 is associated with the maximum concentration of wood in space; it will be possible to estimate how the entire Epoch will pass based on it. 2037 is the year of the Fire Snake, capable of setting fire to the entire “wooded” space. 2040 is the year of the Metal Monkey, which is an accumulation of Metal. It dashes against Wood in a chopping collision, like an ax with an oak trunk. A year with a very high probability of tragedies and disasters. 2043 is the year of the Water Pig, which gives a fusion with the Tiger, which means a more or less favorable period.

So, this is a crazy Era of Change, at least 24 years long. Surviving such an Era with benefits for yourself is possible only by synchronizing with the world and by trying to ride this wave instead of resisting it. Remember that the wave sweeps away what is statically fixed, but it cannot sweep away a good swimmer who feels the current. Therefore, don’t buy heavy furniture; accumulate ideas and mobile occupations. Get rid of the old and bring the new and interesting things to the world; it can now shoot like never before. This is a period of reformers and marginals; it is now much more profitable to join them than to try to revive the corpse of a bygone era.
